In 2006, two friends passionate about Strongman, Powerlifting, and Weightlifting began manufacturing their own equipment for training due to the lack of factories dedicated to producing the necessary products for these sports modalities.
Gradually, they amassed a significant amount of equipment that they started using for the few competitions held during that time for these sports. Soon, they realized that their products interested athletes due to their high quality and reasonable prices.
PowerKan was founded in 2008 out of the need for a Spanish company to specialize in manufacturing Strongman equipment. The first Strongman machines were designed for the National Strength League (LNF).
Yokes, cylinders, granite ball supports, giant dumbbells, farmer's walk kits, power cages, squat racks... are some of the contraptions they manufactured.
By late 2011, due to the growing popularity of CrossFit nationwide, PowerKan decided to open a section dedicated to this sport. The adaptation of their products to this modality has been very successful and well-received by the new CrossFit boxes and gyms.
A significant investment was made in Powerlifting by providing the Spanish Powerlifting Association (AEP) with all the necessary supports and bench presses for organizing national championships.
Currently, PowerKan is growing day by day. Without advertising, solely through word-of-mouth among athletes, and always with high-quality products designed and manufactured for the most demanding customers.
